EKG of the Week – Week 7

This week’s EKG comes from a case that I saw as a brand new second year resident.

The patient was a 52 year old female with a cc of SOB and cough.  We got an EKG and the machine read is: Sinus Rhythm with Sinus ArrhythmiaPattern Consistent with Pulmonary Disease, Left Anterior Fascicular, BlockAbnormal EKG.

  1. What was the machine seeing that made it know that the patient had chronic pulmonary disease?

2. What are some EKG findings that we commonly see in patients with pulmonary disease?
