EKG of the Week – Week 34

 This week’s EKG series is from Dr. Burgon.  He was deployed and had a contractor come in with mid sternal / throat pain.  EKGs 1-4 are from a Role 2 in Afghanistan, where as the rest of the EKGS are from Dr. Burgon.  The doctor at the role 2 pushed thrombolytics (TNK) for the patient’s STEMI, since he didn’t have a Cath lab.  You can see the STEMI progress and evolve over these EKGs.  EKGs like these are becoming a lost art as PCI has practically replaced lytics in the US.  When we’re deployed, lytics may be all we have.
