Journal Club Goals and Expectations
Find your group below and the assigned material to review.
This journal club will be similar to last quarter’s in that everyone will read one paper, and each group will then read one paper unique to their own groups. We will then have a large group discussion covering the paper assigned to everyone, and then go through our standard presentation for the papers assigned to individual groups.
Projected Schedule:
1030: Arrival/split into groups
1030-1130: Small group discussion
1130-1300: Large group discussion
1300 onward: Mentor family time/lunch
PGY Level Assignment/Goals
EM1: Big overview of the paper, and if applicable epidemiology/definitions/diagnosis/workup and PICO (if original study)
EM2: Key takeaways, what to focus on, and if applicable recommendations/treatments. How is this going to change your practice?
