Operational Grand Rounds this week 5/7 will take place offsite at Camp Bullis From 0800-1300.

This will be a round-robin “job fair” style skills day built around practical deployment-relevant skills where you walk around and get reps on things you may actually need when shi… ahem…things get real. You’ll receive a passport card at the start of the event. The format will be largely self-directed you’ll be able to move between stations based on what you feel you need the most work on. We’re asking everyone to complete at least 5 of 7 stations (all stations if you want to leave early).
Current Stations include:
- Vent Management (Field + Transport)
- Suction + Airway Clearance
- Monitor/ZOLL Operational Use
- A-Line + Pressure Systems (intra abdominal and intracranial pressures)
- Blood Transfusion + Eldon Card
- POI → Home / ICMOP Patient Movement
- Push-Dose Pressors / Drip Builds / Braun Pumps
The goal is not just learning how to do these things, but understanding:
- When you should do it
- When you shouldn’t
- What common mistakes can hurt patients
